Philippine Airlines - We all know that airlines are always competing for our business either in class of aircraft or in price of the fares they give us. Philippine Airlines was the first Asian owned airline to complete a Trans-Pacific flight successfully connecting the Pacific to the west. Now that was something special considering it happened after the rebuilding process following World War II. Nowadays Philippine Airlines is the front company for international travel to and from the Philippines. The airlne has recently in 2006, started selling tickets the way most international airlines are by offering etickets to it's customers instead of the paper tickets it once solely used. The process still has to be refined since your unable to change your flight or alter certain things at the check in desk. The ticketing offices still need some work as well, since when you visit one of the clerks to pay, book, or change a ticket, you had better be prepared to spend at least an hour waiting in line. It's not really due to the number of customers waiting in the lobby of the offices, we think it's more of a management problem of the processes required to complete the tasks. All an all this airline does offer it's customers some of the lowest fares to and from certain areas onboard modern aircraft. One flight we took recently showed the customer service onboard the airline is not lacking. We would like to personally thank Ms. Reyes onboard PR 100 flight service to Hawaii, as she provided outstanding service during our flight. As always with flying be prepared to run into services that are substandard and you should research the airlines you use for your travel needs. Enjoy your world!
